It was 40 years ago that John Lennon and Yoko Ono held a week-long Bed-In for peace in Montreal, at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel. They checked into room 1742 and peacefully protested the war in Vietnam, a monumental moment in history that still resonates today.
Dom Rebel is extremely pleased to announce the creation of a one-of-a-kind piece inspired by this memorable stay by the couple in Montreal, and the powerful message they brought across to millions around the world. The piece we are creating will be displayed at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel, alongside pieces made by other selected Quebec designers. A date will be announced shortly.
We hold John Lennon very close to our heart, as his messages of freedom and rebellion have always been a huge inspiration for our brand.
We invite you to visit the free of charge exhibition, IMAGINE, at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. We've been twice already and probably will head back one more time to play the white piano ;) Visit www.mmfa.qc.ca for more info.
